Thank you for your question on the drum sander conveyor belt being too short to install.

I have been in contact with the manufacturer and they are checking there stock on this belt to see if the stock is correct.

I have found out that the belt specification should be 44 5/8 inches in circumference and 18 1/4 in. wide.

I am waiting for them to respond with the answer to your question.

Sam A.

Thank you for the update. They have checked the stock they have on this belt and it has been in place since 2004. They suggested that perhaps the adjusters for the belt system are not completely released and the adjusters may have some dust in the adjusters preventing them from releasing all the way to get the replacement belt on. I will be waiting for the measurements of the old and new belt to see how much difference there is. Sam A.

Q:

What is the difference between the drum sander 215180 and 215680?

A:

I understand you cannot find a manual for 215180. While you wait for the expert answer, you may want to note the three numbers in front of 215180. I see that others have found sander manuals at the link below but you would need the entire number. Hope this helps!

Thanks, Barbara. The entire number is 351.215180. It a Craftsman Professional Drum Sander 18" x 36". After printing out the manual for the 351.215680, my hubby says they are not the same, but I would appreciate any other answers for this situation. After buying it at the sale, it fell out of the truck and a cast metal wheel and handle got broken off. So, we will need to try to find a replacement for them.
