Q:

Spring Pin Removal 351181710 Craftsman Stapler

A:

Thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com, and for being a valued member.
To remove the two spring pins, you will want to use a small diameter punch or like kind tool and lightly tap them out. Spring Pin 43 on the diagram is 3 X 23 MM, and pin 44 is 3 X 33 MM.
I hope this helps, and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Lubricant for 351.181730

i completely understand your need to know what type of lubricant your Stapler uses. While you are waiting for your expert answer, I did some research on the unit. At this time, I was unable to locate information that would be helpful in regards to your question. Some of these questions that are asked will need specific research and will be answered by an expert with-in two business days but usually sooner.

Thank you for your question.  I am sorry you are having this problem with the stapler. If the unit is skipping and not driving the staples like it should, I recommend squaring up the end of the ram with a file. Once you have it squared up use compressed air to blow out any debris in the magazine. After you have it blown out, use a dry moly lube on the slide of the magazine. The image below shows what the lube looks like. You should be able to pick up the lube from an auto parts store or hardware store. Then check the operation.  If it still does not work as it should, I recommend taking the cylinder cap off and removing the piston ram. Once removed clean all the parts and inspect the o-rings. If they show any wear they should be replaced. When ready to assemble the unit apply a little general propose grease to the o-rings. Once assembled, check the operation.  I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.   Thank you for using Manage my life. Mark T.

Thank you for your question on other brand nails and staples for the air tools.

I have e-mailed you a reference chart that you will be able to look for your model on the left side of the chart and then look down the columns to find which brand will fit you model.

I hope this will help.
