Question and Answers

Q:

Do I have the correct part? HBL3350UC01 Bosch Built-in oven

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears and for contacting us with your question about your parts order. I am so sorry the part doesn’t attach or function properly. We will be happy to help you with this but will need some additional information.  Please note - I removed your personal information from your question because this is a public forum and we want to protect your privacy.

I am assuming the C431947 number you included is your order number and not the part number. For your privacy, we do not access your order through this public forum. Your question included two different model numbers, HBL3350UC01 and HBL745AUC02. These ovens do not use the same broiler elements. Please verify the model number of your oven. If your oven is model HBL3350UC01, the correct part number for the broiler element is 144667. If the model number is HBL745AUC02 the part number was 00144260. Unfortunately that part is no longer available.

Once you have verified the model number, please check the part number of the part you received. If you received a wrong part, please contact our PartsDirect Customer Care department at 1-800-366-7278 for assistance with getting the order corrected.

I am so sorry for the inconvenience this order has caused you. I hope this answers your question. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

Q:

Doesn't sound like gas is going to oven won't light ACS3350AW-PACS3350AW0 Amana Gas range

A:

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com and being a valued member. It is unfortunate to hear that you are having issues with your range and I do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. I'm looking at your model number acs3350aw-pacs3350aw0 and in order for the oven to ignite; the thermostat must close a set of contacts when the oven thermostat is turned to a set temperature. When the oven thermostat closes, it completes a path of voltage to the one lead of the oven igniter. The other lead of the igniter is connected to neutral though the oven gas valve. If the oven igniter is not glowing, the igniter could be broken, it could have a faulty oven thermostat or it could have a faulty oven safety valve.

Open the broiler drawer and then turn the oven thermostat to a temperature setting. At the back of the bake/broil burner there is a glow bar igniter mounted on the side of the bake/broil burner. This igniter must glow red hot and it must pull enough current/amperage to cause the oven safety valve to open. Once the oven safety valve opens, the gas ignites off the red hot glow bar igniter.

If the igniter below the oven floor is not glowing, the igniter should first be disconnected and tested for continuity with an Ohm meter. If the igniter measure resistance across the two wires, then I would suspect a possible faulty oven thermostat or oven safety valve. The oven thermostat and the oven safety valve can both be disconnected and then tested across the terminals for continuity with the Ohm meter.

The oven floor can be taken out in order to access and replace the oven igniter. Remove the two screws at the rear of the oven floor to remove the floor. I trust this information will help you.

Thank you for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com.
