Question and Answers

Q:

looking for a motor for my whirlpool retractable (pop-up) downdraft vent systems

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when needing a part for your Whirlpool retractable vent system. I did look into the numbers you have provided and I do apologize those numbers are not pulling up any information. I would need the model number off of the unit itself in order to get the part number for the motor. The numbers on the motor are not valid numbers for replacement parts. Once I have the model number I will be able to locate a new motor for your unit.

Thank you for your question. Have a great day.

A:

The only reset was to enter and run the diagnostic test cycle to clear a "clean light blinking" problem.

The clean light blinking indicated a water heating problem but from your description this is not the problem you have.

The image below does contain the instructions to enter and run the diagnostic cycle and this may be of use to you.

You can try entering and running the rinse only cycle and see if you get a fill.

For no fill problems I suggest you first check that the float is in place. No float then no fill.

The valve can be checked for resistance if you have access to a volt/ohm meter. An open circuit would indicate a bad valve.

Try the rinse only cycle and try the diagnostic and with the additional details I can offer further assistance.
