Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the trimmer. According to the parts list this model could have one of many different cutter heads. I am not sure which one you have on your trimmer. I was able to find a manual that shows how to reassemble the cutter on all the models. The file was too big to post on this site, so I emailed you a copy.

I hope this helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

Mark.

Q:

You KNOW MSIE 9 not permitting the downloading of .pdf's for manuals, etc., WHY don't ALL of your people know this? I wasted a ton of time on this!!!

A:

An issue has been identified in Internet Explorer 9 that prevents the proper viewing of PDF documents such as owners manuals on Manage My Life. We recommend using another browser such as Chrome or Firefox to access owners manuals. If you are still unable to view your manual in these browsers please let me know here and we will find an alternative way to deliver your manual to you. I apologize for the inconvenience. As always, we are here for you if you have any additional questions.

S Dezeray -- YES, this is how I know you KNOW. So don't apologize for an "inconvenience," FIX IT! I can't imagine how many hours have been tied up in this with your 800 reps. And why don't THEY know? Today's phone call revealed that she (the rep) knew there was a problem - but she should have been able to tell me about the MSIE 9 issue right away and just send me the .pdf - which of course she eventually did. But I spent another 15-20 minutes on this today - and about 45 mins on this last week for another manual that I couldn't download.....

You're right, this was not communicated properly through all the affected groups within Sears. Most customers who had to deal with this probably sat and fumed silently, and I sincerely appreciate that you let us know. Here's what I can say we are doing: Tonight we have a release scheduled that should fix the IE3 Problem you were having. I have also made contact with the managers at the call group. If for some reason tonight's build doesn't fix the problem, I will let them know and they will communicate this to the phone agents. It will help me if you could tell me what was the phone number you initially called. There are many different call groups at Sears and I want to make sure I get the right ones. I'm glad that we were able to get you the PDF, and if you need further assistance, please reply on this thread and we will get you the help you need. Thank you again for letting us know. The next time something like this happens we can anticipate the communications issues and we'll know where to go within Sears.

Hi Patrick, I can't try it out myself since I'm not running it on my desktop, but I just checked with the Engineers and they confirmed that the fix for IE9 is working.

Thanks for the fix! I is a bit disconcerting that the upload doesn't give you a progress/status bar or anything, so you're just left waiting - but it works. Patrick

Patrick, It sounds like IE9 is the real problem, not Sears. I'm still using IE7 and occassionally Firefox- but not the latest version. I figure that it's usually good to wait a bit before loading up the latest version. (I upgraded to IE8 via Yahoo on my laptop, which screwed up IE completely. I gave up and had to use Firefox until the laptop finally died) That way the bugs can be patched. That's especially true with Microsoft products, We got stuck with Microsoft Vista on the last desktop. It made me think that the next computer was going to be an Apple for sure.
