With this there anything could be the issue. Could be an issue with the ball bearings in the gear casing, too the washers on either side of the blade. Im looking at your model number 32010870 and from your description it sounds almost like one segment of the armature windings is shorted. This condition usually causes excessive arcing, lower speed and loss of power. I recommend making sure that there are no accumulation of carbon dust between commutator segments possibly creating a conductive path between them. The switch I'm showing id fairly easy to replace. Just open case pop out the old switch, slid the new one in. The part number for that switch is 4870097000. Hope this information has help you.
