Question and Answers

Q:

How do I troubleshoot the charger (model 320.10321) for my cordless drill (320.10320)?

A:

There is no way to troubleshoot the battery and charger. Normally if the battery is bad the red light on the charger will flash. The charger can also fail and flash the red light.

The best way to determine if the battery or the charger has failed is to try the battery in a known good charger.

My experience is when there are no lights at all the charger is usually the problem.

Hello Nicholas,

I'm sorry to hear that your drill clutch is slipping and I would like to assist you. I suggest disassembling the drill to inspect for broken parts, prior to ordering them. If the clutch is slipping bad enough, you may not be able to remove the chuck. I strongly advise that you use a digital or cell phone camera to take images of each step as you disassemble the drill. Sears Parts Direct is a direct link to the parts for your drill. Be sure to look closely at the parts in front of the gear case and behind the chuck.

Please let me know if you would like any further assistance.
