Q:

What can cause the green light to flicker and go out on a Sylvania HD TV?

A:

It sounds like the TV will come up after the circuits have warmed up from trying to be turned on. I would be looking for bloated capacitors based on the fact that you have to try a few times and it will come on. I cannot tell you what you are looking for but there might be some low voltage underrated caps that are getting puffed do to voltage spikes. A technician will know what he is looking for. They are usually found on the power supply itself. There could also be some cracked solder joints that do not make contact until heated.

Q:

My 13 amp circular saw has power, but the blade won't run 320.10871

A:

I am having the same problem. I have used this saw a total of 3 times. It has sat on a shelf 99% of it's life in my ownership. Sometimes the trigger will momentarily spin the blade but then it stops like there is a short somewhere. The saw looks absolutely brand new so it is very frustrating to have this serious malfunction. Thanks Craftsman....
