Q:

fuel line replacment 316299371 Craftsman Cultivator

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.
With this cultivator, the manufacturer is only offering the fuel lines in conjunction with the fuel tank. The part number for the assembly is 753-06240. This can be beneficial because the fuel lines are already in place in the tank and it makes the repair quick and easy.
If you don't want to purchase the assembly, you can visit a local Sears retail store and purchase a fuel line cut-to-length kit.
For convenience, I have provided a blue link below that you may click on to be directed to the SearsParts site to view and purchase the fuel tank assembly if desired.

Hello Ronald,

I'm sorry to hear that your trimmer is not starting. I would advise you to check the fuel, if there was any debris or water in the fuel that you refilled with, that would definitely cause the issue that you have described. I have included an exploded diagram showing the tank and lines at the end of this reply. I would drain and flush the fuel system to ensure that the the fuel is clean and free of water. One thing to note; I recommend that fuel be kept no longer than five weeks. After that there is a high chance of it oxidizing and causing issues.

If your trimmer is in warranty and it will still not start after flushing the fuel system, Sears Home Services can direct you to the nearest sears store to drop it off for repair.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
