Thank you for your question on the replacement sander drive belt. This sander was built in Oct.1967.

I am sorry to tell you that the belt for the sander is no longer available. Even the substitute belt 622393-001 is no longer available.

I have looked on a number of parts web-site for a Ryobi belt and no one seems to have one.

I am sorry that I was not able to help you with your request.

I just snapped my belt today. My sander: Model# 315.22411 Serial #5714 I found 3 on this 20-page list that might work: https://sdp-si.com/eStore/Direct.asp?GroupID=213 Specifically: A 6R 3-050025 A 6B 3-050025 A 6G 3-050025 I am not sure which material or tension member will work best for a sander, but they are cheap enough that I might just buy all three. Wow, this site really destroyes your formatting/spacing after you send the reply. I will put the 3 part numbers in brackets this time to make them easier to see. [A 6R 3-050025] [A 6B 3-050025] [A 6G 3-050025] And the link that got scattered: Kris

I tried some 5/32 cross-section 0-rings from work; it ran ok, but only for about 10 minutes before they started slipping. So I purchased the 3 timing belts above from sdp-si.com. They cost $13.30 total plus a handling fee of $3.95. Since they are on the other side of the country from me, and I needed them for this weekend, I selected UPS 3-day which was the biggest expense at $25.53. If I didn't need them for a couple of weeks, I probably would have asked them to but them in an envelope for the US Postal Service. They are so small and light that it probably wouldn't have cost much more than a few bucks. Anyway , the final total came to $42.78. The first photo shows the three belts and their part #'s as well as the broken original. The second photo shows the inner section of the belts (same order top-bottom as above with the original on top.) All three belts fit snugly on the sander, but they were not too difficult to install. I ended up leaving the third (bottom) belt on as shown in the last photo. As you can see, the belt's cog fit the sander's drive sprocket well. I have about 2 hours on this belt so far and no issues.
