Q:

Top blower 31517431 Craftsman Craftsman router

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

The screws will need to be taken out of the blower coupling so it can be removed. You will then need to hold the collet shaft to be able to unscrew the blower, and I believe that you will turn it clockwise to remove.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Q:

How to repair a 315.17431 router 315.17431

A:

I suggest taking the router apart and see what's damaged first before ordering any parts. Besides, parts are not likely available for this older model router. I suggest taking the router in for an estimate first. It may need parts that are no longer available.

I am sorry that we not longer have this manual for purchase or download.

I will research for this manual however the location I need to get the information from is closed for the holiday and will reopen on Tuesday the 27th.

I will then contact them to see if they have a copy in the archives.

Sam A: Any luck with getting the manual? I want to start a project and can't tell how to prevent the router from sipping into a deeper cut. In a previous project I cut a groove way too deep.
