Q:

I need a dust bag for model 31511751 31511751 Craftsman Craftsman 3 inch dustless belt sander

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

Unfortunately, both the dust bag 621930-000, and the dust bag assembly 622084-001 have been discontinued.

I would recommend Google searching the part numbers to see if there are any in circulation on sites like Ebay. If not, you will need to fabricate one.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Thank you for your question.

I have checked the manual we have here. We do not have any written instructions on how to replace the belt on your sander. I should still be able to help you. I have added an image below showing the break down of the sander. It looks like the dust collection system has to be removed first. Then remove the screws securing the cover. You should now have access to the belt. You should just have to walk the new belt on to the pulleys. There is not any kind of way to loosen or adjust the belt. Once the belt is installed in the correct position, you can reassemble the sander in the reverse order. I hope this is helpful. Please reply below if you need further assistance.

To change the belt you need to loosen the Tr Screw as it is listed on the diagram, part 68. this will allow the pully with the grooves in it to be pushed back so that you can place the belt on. Then re-tighten the TR Screw.

Thank you for your question.

I have looked up the model number you have submitted. We no longer have the manual for this model. I assume you have the front roller pushed in and you cannot get it to unlock. If this is the case, I should be able to help you. When the roller is pushed back the hole in the roller support hooks onto a pin in the body. Once the new belt is on you need to use a screwdriver to pry the front roller support off the pin. This will allow the front roller support to spring forward to tighten the belt. By looking at the parts list, the front roller support needs to be pried down.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

The roller is back in it's proper position after installing a new belt. When minor sanding pressure is exerted, the belt slips. Can this be adjusted?
