Replace brushes or whole motor? 315114832 Craftsman Drill

I do not see that this drill has the motor brushes broken down for replacement parts. You will need to purchase the motor assembly, part 230081005, if the noise is coming from the motor. You may also want to check the shaft bearing/assembly during disassembly if you're not sure it's coming from the motor. The shaft assembly is part 201005001.

I searched and found no ongoing known problem with the batteries that would cause the early burn out. There are many variables that can affect the life of a battery. This does seem to be a difficult battery to charge. Check out the following link for an excellent article on the charging of this particular 130279005 battery: Charging 130279005 Battery There seems to be more to charging this battery than putting it in the charger.
