How to remove the chuck 31511480 Craftsman Craftsman 3/8 inch electric drill

The images on this unit aren't the greatest, but it does look like there is a chuck screw. It's listed as the special screw, and is part number 616478-003. I have posted a picture of it below.

Thank you for your question on the drill chuck on the drill locked against the housing.

It sounds like the spacer is gone between the chuck and the drill body to restrict how far the chuck moves back.

The spacer is no longer available but the screw is.

Drill chuck screw for model 315.11480 .
