Thank you for your request of a downloadable manual for your corded drill.

I am sorry that this is not in our downloadable files.

The reason is that it is not available is that it is a very old tool and the files are archived in paper at the manufacturer and would have to be scanned in order to be put into the MML system.

I am sorry that I cannot help you with this request but as you said the parts depot does have the manual for purchase.

Thank you for your question and I would be glad to help you but this drill is so old that I do not have any information on its specifications.

This is a corded drill from before the 1980's as far as I can tell. Manufacturers have a tendency not to give out specifications like you are asking for unless it is advertised information.

I am sorry that I cannot help you with this information.

If it was a newer tool we might have been able to help you.

Q:

How do I remove the chuck of a Sears model 31510491 1/2 inch drill?

A:

The chuck on your drill is threaded on. You have to open the chuck all the way up and remove the securing screw in the center of the shaft. Now lock a large allen wrench in the chuck. Next strike it with a hammer to loosen it from the shaft. Most drill shafts are standard thread and should turn counter clockwise.
