Thank you for your response to our question! We had already consulted the parts list and have ordered the parts you recommended. i am glad to know the new parts should be sturdier than the ones that have broken.

I am having this exact same problem. It started with one wheel and now three wheel tabs have broken. My dishwasher is just at two years as well. It is very frustrating!

My top rack just fell out and I found both the front and rear wheels have broken plastic tabs. My dishwasher is only two years old! I bought this brand/model because Consumer Reports rated it well. It is unacceptable to me that a part that gets so much use is made of cheap plastic. I shouldn't have to buy two new assemblies at $40+ each. Same problem as other customers have noted. This is a manufacturing defect!

Three of the plastic wheel holders are broken. Machine is 2 years old: this is DEFINITELY a manufacturing defect. Warranty out 1 year, I demand a better response than "buy the better part'.... how about "We'll ship that to you for free sir." I'll be writing to Consumer Reports on this one.

Mine are also all broken and the top rack fell out. The replacement parts are $40 each. I paid over $1000 for this dishwasher; defective parts should be replaced by Sears for a 2 year old appliance, This is unacceptable! I was going to buy my daughter one like mine for Christmas. Now I believe I will go to Lowe's and get a Samsung.

Q:

Ken more Elite Model 66512783k310 not completing cycle and display flashing 66512783K310 Kenmore Elite Dishwasher

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help with your dishwasher. Upon researching 66512783K310; you can reset the electronic control board by unplugging the unit’s power cord for 5 minutes and then reapplying the power. If the problem persists then the electronic control board may have failed. The electronic control board governs the functions of the unit so when the controls board fails it can cause the controls to become unresponsive.

I trust this information will help you, we appreciate your business thank for choosing Sears.

I disconnected power for 5 minutes to reset the electronic control board. I'm still seeing the same problem. Is there a specific error code that would indicate failure of the electronic control board? When the cycle stops and lights flash they do so in a manner consistent with the door having been opened to add a dish but then forgetting to hit start/resume before closing the door (start/resume is flashing). Is it possible it is a door latch switch failure/problem? I'm not convinced the dishwasher doesn't thinks the door was opened and is requesting a start/resume button push before continuing. Is there a way to distinguish between these two possibilities? I'd prefer not to randomly replace parts if there is a way to verify a specific issue.

My unit is doing this as well. Where is the connection to the Vert Fan? I have reset everthing and even removed the Door cover to check loose or corroded wiring. Still can not get it working. I would like to try the vert fan to check.

New tech came out replaced main circuit board again and touch pad assembly. HURRAY, so far has run its first full cycle since Thanksgiving, I think it was most likely the touchpad we'll see.
