Q:

Im Looking for a Manual for Model #3069142 Craftsman Planner. AQny chance of finding one of these anywhere? 3069142 Craftsman Planner

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com. I know how important the owners manual is for your Planer model number 3069142. Because the unit is older than 1987, manufacturer does not have any manual information on this planer. Some parts are still available for ordering. However, there is not a downloadable or hard copy of the manual. I hope you have a great day.

Q:

Age of model? 3069142 Craftsman Planner

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

Unfortunately, I could not find anything specific as to the date of manufacture on this particular model. Our DOM records only go back to the mid 80's, but based upon research, I found a similar model that was in the early 70's, so this is more than likely around that timeframe if not a little earlier.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Needing an owner's manual is great to have. While you are waiting on an expert to answer your question, I was searching your model number in the Manage My Life website and couldn't find your owner's manual. I did manage to find your diagram In the Sears Parts Direct website. I have attached the link below. Hope this helps!

Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting a manual for the molder/planer.

The blades have a pinch system called gibs.

You lessen the 5 gib screws and tap on the gib with a piece of hard wood and a mallet to get the gib to drop down and release the blades.

I have given you an image below with the instructions for removal and installing of the planer blades.

I believe that this model is the same as the Foley-Belsaw 984. I do have a manual for the 984/985 model and one for the 910/912.

I will send them both. And you can examine them to see which one matches your model planer.

I hope this will help.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.

The e-mails of the manuals did not go through. I got an undeliverable message. Is there a different e-mail I can send them too. Sam A.
