Q:

how do the 15pc cutter bits from sears fit into the planer when there is no gibs of weight supplied with the set?

A:

I can understand your concern over wanting to know how to attach the cutter bits to your planer. While you are waiting for your expert answer, I did some research on the unit. At this time, I was unable to locate information that would be helpful in regards to your question. Some of these questions that are asked will need specific research and will be answered by an expert with-in two business days but usually sooner.

A:

Thank you for your question on the molder/planer cutter bits.

I believe you have purchased the 24023 which has bits only, but they will fit the Craftsman/Foley Belsaw built molder planer.

This set did not come with gibs and counter balance pieces because there should be three of each cutter shapes.

The company that provides those bits purchased the rights from Foley Belsaw.

You will need to use the gibs for the planer blades and it would be better if you take the planer blades out of the cutter head.

Please let me know how it goes with the bits.
