Q:

not getting cold 1069205580 Kenmore Upright freezer

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com. I will be more than happy to assist you. I can understand the frustration with having an issue with you unit. Let’s see what we can do for you.

Normally when there's an issue with cooling in the fridge, and the fan in the freezer is working, it is the diffuser. Most of the time the thermostat goes out when the diffuser is open and, allows the cold air to flow nonstop. With the freezer still running the diffuser will get frozen open. Also this cold air flowing in nonstop it will freeze you stuff.  So it could be just the thermostat. But I recommend replacing both at the same time, especially since you need a fridge to be running properly.

this unit is an upright freezer. I have placed a box fan behind the freezer to help circulate air. this seems to help in dropping the inside freezer temp to 10. So I am thinking a condenser fan or possibly the coil fan. any thoughts?

Also one other item of note. Prior to unplugging unit for the 30 hours, when the freezer would achieve the 30-32F the ice maker would solidify the ice in icemaker but never release the ice cubes.

The defrost thermostat would be a suggested part to replace. This is what tells everything to work in the defrost cycle. Another thing could be the defrost timer could be bad as well. The two parts work together so this could be your issue.

Q:

How do I replace the bottom panel Model # EGEF3032MFG FGEF3032MFG Frigidaire Electric range

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I can certainly assist you in locating the instructions to repair the bottom panel in your oven. I did look into the model number you have provided and I have found information to assist you.
There will be two screws on each side of the panel all the way in the back of the oven that you will need to loosen or take out the screws. Over time the heat can cause the screws to get stuck you will then need a putty knife to get the screws out. Then you are able to lift the panel and slide it out. I recommend purchasing new screws when replacing the panel because they can wear out over time and be damaged during repair.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
