Q:

Cutting Heights? 247374301 Craftsman Lawn mower

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

The mower has a cutting range from 1.25 to 3.75 inches, and the adjustments are in 0.5 inch increments from 1.25”. That would make the height settings to be 1.25, 1.75, 2.25, 2.75, 3.25, and 3.75 inches.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Thank you for your question.

I will be happy to assist you with installing the bagger. You should replace the two bolts that came with the tractor with the two shoulder bolts that came with the bagger. The original bolts are not shoulder bolts. If you just loosen the bolts to install the bagger they could vibrate out during use. The shoulder bolts allow you to install and remove the bagger frame without any tools.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

Mark.

I have a 22hp 42" mower, model No. 917.20390. They sent me grass catcher model No. 917.248921. The support system is nothing like the manual. It is a single bracket that appears to line up with a hole pattern on rear of mower. Approx.2.75" x 3.375. The only problem is the holes aren't threaded and no type of shoulder bolts were included to mount the bracket. What can I do?

The lowest cutting setting on your mower is 1.25inches and the highest is 3.5inches. The manufacturer does not list what each setting's height will be, only the lowest and the highest. They should be something close to this:

  1. : 1.25
  2. : 1.75
  3. : 2.25
  4. : 2.75
  5. : 3.5
