Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

First make sure the cycle switch/speed switch is not positioned between two speeds. Rotate the speed switch knob back and forth a few times only when the washer is not running. If the motor continues to click on and off rapidly then there is likely a loose wire connection at the motor or at the timer. Check all the wire connections at the motor and where they fit into the timer. It could also be caused by faulty motor centrifugal switch too. Check the Blue, White/Violet, and the White/Orange wires especially.

In order to access the timer and motor you will need to place the control panel in the service position and remove the washer cabinet.

I added a YouTube video showing how to access the timer and motor . The video will show how to remove the pump but of course you will not need to remove the drain pump. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before servicing your washer.
