Thank you for your question. There is usually a red and white wire to the compressor overload and relay. The red wire connects to the overload and the white wire to terminal 2 on the relay. The wiring diagram # 216181800 shows to still be available at SearsPartsDirect . I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and if you can send a picture of the relay and the wires at the compressor it would be very helpful.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

This model does show to have a capacitor and usually the blue wire will go to the capacitor. I'm attaching a diagram that shows how the capacitor is wired to the relay. The blue wire will attach to terminal 2 and the white wire to terminal 1. Check the diagram on your freezer to see if it matches this diagram. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, please send a picture of the wiring diagram on this freezer, along with the diagram that should have been included with this new relay and I will be glad to assist you further.

this is picture of original hookup with blue lead to #3 on relay and white to capacitor and also pictured is diagram on motor. I also put new relay part on top of motor for comparison. It has place for hookup numbered #2 on top with place for capacitor to fit on bottom. I was quality control for food machine company but this stumps me. All your replies have been very clear. I accidentally gave you 1 star but should have been 5 stars. Any help appreciated very much. Rev Donnie Russell

Thank you for the picture. It shows the capacitor connected to terminals 1 and 3 and neutral to terminal 2. The new relay has the cap to terminal 2 and 3 and neutral to terminal 1. If you are having a difficult time with the capacitor, it may also need to be replaced with the new relay. The new capacitor is # 5304464438 and is available at the link listed below. I hope this will help you.

Thomas, I'm not showing a wiring diagram for this model but the black (hot) wire will usually go to the overload and the white (neutral) wire to the relay. I hope this helps you.
