Thanks for your question about the chest freezer and the alarm light. This alarm will signal when temperatures rise above desired temp. If the freezer is not freezing properly I recommend calling for service.
I also see that Julio has provided a link from Korinna that explains the alarm, also indicating that some related parts are no longer available, (I find the same results) you should read her answer and determine you plan of action. I will provide a link for service for your convenience.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .

Thanks Ron H.

Thank you for your question. I know the ports can change with some replacement compressors. I'm attaching a chart of the replacement compressors. You can match the compressor up, with one on the chart, to determine, which port is the high side, low side and process. I hope this will help you.

Thank you for providing the model number. I see Barbara provided you with great information. However, your model does not have a battery to replace. The alarm in this freezer is triggered by the thermostat. If the temperature gets above 15 degrees, a set of contacts in the thermostat will send a signal to the alarm. You can check the temperature by placing a thermometer between some packages, air temperature is not a good check. If the temperature is below 8 degrees and the alarm is sounding, the control will need to be replaced. If the temperature is above 15 degrees, first set the control to a colder setting. If the temperature does not drop, a technician will be needed to check the system.

If pressing the alarm off button or resetting the board by disconnecting the freezer from the outlet for 5-10 minutes doesn't work, the control will most likely need to be replaced. Looking through the parts list diagram , the control/module for this model is no longer available and the manufacturer has not recommended a substituted part that would work. Chest freezers have an average life span of 10 years. The system is showing this unit was made around 1998. If you can't live with the beeping you may consider replacing the unit.

If you would like to set up an appointment, service can be scheduled at the following link: Sears Home Services . I hope this help.
