The information that pvalde2 provide is very good. There are many reasons that a chest freezer will constantly run. The first ones are usually all the parts that you have already replaced. The only other reason are that the freezer is too empty and it can't get an accurate temperature, or the room temperature is high, so the freezer is trying to work against it. If these are not the problem, you will need a technician to diagnose the freezer.

Where does the brown cord on the door plug into?

A:

The brown cord is for the light inside the lid. Normally there is a receptacle for it on the back wall of the freezer cabinet. The length of the cord should show you where to look. The cord will be cut to length to reach the receptacle with enough slack left so it doesn't pull the plug out of the receptacle when you open the lid.
