Question and Answers

What do I need to replace to fix my freezer?

It's normal for it to run a lot. Depending on the location it could run most of the time. If it was iced up real thick, it will cause the temperature to get warmer and will also cause it to run longer. It may take it awhile now, to cool back to a zero degree temperature. If all of the shelves are frosting, it indicates the freezer is ok. If one or more of the shelves are not frosting, it indicates a problem in the seal system. If it does seem to be cooling normally again and the shelves are frosting, it's ok. It won't hurt or damage the compressor at all, to be running. It's actually better for the compressor to run more, than to start and stop. If you need more assistance, please resubmit your question with more details.
