I can understand your concern about the thermostat sensor (capillary) tube. This tube can get frozen to the channel it fits in and make it very difficult to pull out. Be very careful because the tube can break and if it breaks up inside the channel, it's possible you will not be able to remove it. I recommend turning the unit off and allow it time to defrost. The sensor should then pull out much easier. Also be sure to mark the original tube, to see how far it's inserted up inside the channel because if the new tube is not inserted the same distance, it will not regulate the temperature properly. If you would like more assistance, please respond to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further. Any additional details will also be helpful.
