Question and Answers

Q:

how do I remove freezer shelf? 25379157990

A:

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com. Glad to help out. Im looking at your model number 25379157990 and It looks to me that the end stubs of the freezer shelf, fit inside the bushings that fit inside the walls of the freezer liner. To remove this shelf, push it all the way to the right or left and the opposite end should come out. This will allow you to pull the other side out now and remove the shelf. To install just push on side all the way in until you are able to fit the wire shelf onto the other side of the freezer.  If you have further questions please resubmit your question for further information.

Thank you for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com.

Q:

Why is water leaking underneath the unit and also puddling under the crisper bins?

A:

If the drain line in the wall of the refrigerator gets stopped up or frozen, water will run down inside the refrigerator and can also leak on the floor. Sometimes the drain line can be cleaned out. To do this, the back cover panel in the freezer will have to be removed. You will now be able to see the evaporator and the drain trough directly under it. The trough will probably be full of ice. The ice will need to be removed to gain access to the drain hole. Now hot water will need to be used in the hole, until the drain line is free and water runs down into the bottom pan. This can take awhile depending on how deep the ice is.

Sometimes the line will get pinched closed or it can get stopped up down in the cabinet. If this is the case, it could be closed off and will not be usable again. If this happens, there is an add on drain kit # 5303918261 and is available at www.partselect.com . A technician may be needed to make these checks and install this kit if necessary.
