Question and Answers

Q:

The food turned bad in the fridge lower half even though I already adjust the temperature to coldest.

A:

Refrigerator cooling problems and spoiling food would be upsetting. The cost of everything keeps going up, including food. The expert may be able to provide advice to help but will need a bit more detail. If you include the make and complete model number of the refrigerator it will help the expert provide the best answer possible. I did attach a quick maintenance video and the link to Sears Home Services if a technician is needed to help. Both links are below. I hope these links help if needed.

25367879503 is the model. I First notice some ice that block the outflow of the air from the freezer to the fresh food section. I removed the power from the fridge and wait for the ice piece to fall out. I plugged the power back in, the freezer part works but still warm in the fresh food section. I open the back panel in the freezer and see nothing unusual other than playing with the valve to open/close the air flow to/from? the freezer to the fresh food section. I wonder if the fan is working. How do I check?

Food going bad indicates the temperatures may not be cold enough. My first suggestion is to check the temperature in the refrigeration section. This is best done by placing and thermostat in a glass of water. You can most likely find a thermometer for about $4 dollars at the local grocery store. Replying with a model number would also be helpful. Make sure the fan in the freezer is working and if there is a fan next to the compressor make sure it is working also. If you can remove the kickplate check if the coils are covered with lint. I hope this helps. Please reply with a model number for further assistance.

Q:

What should I check, for the icemaker leaking water?

A:

Check how full the icemaker mold is when it fills. It may be overfilling. The fill cup could be leaking during the fill cycle and sometimes the fill tube will splash. There is an updated fill tube # 241523501 that may help stop any splashing that could be taking place. It's available at SearsPartsDirect . If you need more assistance, you can resubmit your question with more details.
