The first check I suggest is, to see what the temperature in the freezer is. If it gets above 5 degrees the icemaker will slow down. Above 10 degrees and it may not work much at all. To check the temperature, place a thermometer between some packages. Air temperature is not a good check. If the temperature is too high, usually adjusting the control to a colder setting will correct the problem.

If a lot of ice is being used, this icemaker may not be able to keep up. Icemakers in refrigerators will have a very hard time keeping up and may not, depending on how much ice is being used.

If the temperature is ok and a lot of ice is not being used, then it would lead to a defective thermostat in the icemaker. In this case, it would be more economical, to replace the complete icemaker # 5304458371. If you need more assistance, additional details will be needed.

A:

Odors in refrigerators is usually caused by something underneath the crisper drawers. Remove the food, shelves, and drawers of the refrigerator and wash the walls and bottom of the cabinet with warm water and mild detergent.

Rinse the cabinet with 1 gallon of water with 2 tablespoons of vanilla flavoring in it.
