Question and Answers

Q:

Why does my gasket keep wearing out across the bottom of my refrigerator. The rest of it is brand new. Can I replace just the bottom? 25374192400 Kenmore Refrigerator

A:

You can only replace the complete gasket, but before you do that clean the bottom gasket and the door part that the gasket comes in contact with. sticky food items sometimes leak and cause the gasket to rip and tear. If cleaning doesn't help the ref gasket can be ordered part # 241872513

Q:

Freezer Ices up, Refrigerator not cold enough 25374192400 Kenmore Refrigerator

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com. I understand how frustrating it can be when the refrigerator does not stay cool. First, I recommend checking your door gaskets for any leaks. You may test the gasket with the refrigerator plugged in if you choose. Open the door and place a piece of paper or dollar between the gasket and the refrigerator frame. Close the door and pull the paper. If there is resistance from tugging at the paper, there is no leak in that portion of the door. Repeat this process throughout the perimeter of the door. If you find an area where the paper easily pulls out, there is a gap in the gasket and it will need to be replaced.

Hi,

Thanks for contacting ManageMyLife. I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with your appliance not working.

For going off the grid the formula is simple.  It is watts = amp × volt or 120 volts x 15 amp breaker equals 1800 watts.  This is start up and the wattage will drop off to about 800 watts running but the system will need to provide 1800 watts peak at startup.  The unit will use 43Kwh.

Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance. We are always here to help.

Thank you for using ManageMyLife.com.
