I know that it can be very frustrating to have issues with the refrigerator. This problem is usually an indication that the coils need to be cleaned. When dirt and debris build up on coils, it will affect the cooling. What happens is the air is not able to circulate around the them properly, so the cold air will remain towards the back of the unit where it comes in. Raising and lowering the temperature in the refrigerator will not help, this just increase the amount of air coming in, which is why your eggs will freeze. To clean the coils, please follow these directions: Clean Refrigerator Coils . If you need further instructions, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting to know which type of Freon this unit uses.

I pretty sure it uses 134A, but you can look on the model serial tag and it will tell you the type and amount it uses.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.
