Q:

FREEZER & REFIGERATOR COMPARTMENTS TOO WARM 25368232800 Kenmore Top-mount

A:

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com. It is unfortunate to hear that you are having issues with your fridge and do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. Im looking at your model number 25368232800 and from your decription it seems like the evaporator coils are freezing. It is possible that the heater is not working properly or the defrost thermostat. The evaporator is located in the back of the freezer. If the back wall is frosted the refrigerator has a defrost problem. Once the evaporator freezes up, the airflow in the refrigerator stops and the refrigerator section starts to warm up. The possible causes of a refrigerator not defrosting are a defrost heater, or a defrost thermostat.

If the back wall of the freezer is not frosted, I recommend removing the back panel inside the freezer. This will give you access to the evaporator. When the refrigerator is running, the evaporator should have a light frost pattern on the whole evaporator. If you do not see the frost pattern, the problem would most likely a sealed system problem. I hope this information helps with your troubleshooting and If you have further questions please resubmit your question for further information.

Thank you for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com.

I'm sorry you are having this problem. The information you have received from Pvalde is good but it does not pertain to this model. Based on the information listed, if nothing is running for this long, it does indicate the timer is stuck. Turn the timer knob located under the control housing and if the unit starts running, the timer # 215846602 will need to be replaced. This could also be causing it not to defrost, which will cause the fridge section to get warm. The timer is available at SearsPartsDirect . I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, any additional details will be helpful and I will be glad to assist you further.
