If you defrosted the unit with no improvement then I suspect the air damper is the problem.

If the freezer is working then the problem will be with air flow. Usually this means a defrost system failure with the frost blocking air flow. If you did a complete manual defrost and nothing improved then I suspect either the evaporator fan is not working or the air diffuser is not working.

You should be able to confirm if the evaporator fan is working.

The diffuser is difficult to check and service. The tower, part key 1, in the 1st image below directs the air into the refrigerator section through part key 12 and 13 in the 2nd image.

Make sure the refrigerator light is not staying on.

I hope this gives you a start to resolving this problem. You can reply with any additional details or questions for further assistance.

Fred M, Thank you for your reply. The fan in the freezer (I assume that is the evaporator fan) doesn't seem to be working. My wife will not want me going any further so I will unfortunately be getting someone in here to help me.
