Question and Answers

Q:

my non removable drip pan came loose from compressor what can i use to secure back together

A:

Thank you for your question. I understand this is a concern. In most models the pan is held in place by a plastic clip or lever that does not securely hold the pan. I would recommend ordering a new pan #5304443219 to install.  It comes with a tube of thermal mastic to apply to the bottom before sliding it on top of the compressor. If further help is needed, please reply.  Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Q:

refrigerator freezer stops in cold weather

A:

When an appliance doesn't work properly or gives out it can be very disappointing because you don't really know what is wrong with it or you might even have to buy a whole different appliance. A suggestion I have is to visit Sears Home Services website to set service with a Sears technician to come out and diagnose your problem. I attached the Sears Home Services link below. Hope this helps!

A:

I can understand your concern. Yes, when the temperature drops this will be normal. The reason is because the thermostat is in the refrigerator section. When the temperature drops to freezing, the whole cabinet is cold inside and out, so the thermostat will stay satisfied for a long period of time and the unit stays off. There is a garage kit # 5303918301 designed to help with this type of problem. I'm sending you a picture with instructions for this kit. Now if the temperature gets down below 34 degrees, this same problem may still happen. I hope this will help you.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
