The water is leaking from the bottom of the refrigerator onto the floor. Should there be a pan under the refrigerator that sits on the floor? Why is the water leaking onto floor what is the issue?

A:

yes, Holly there should be a drain pan. With your model number go to our www.Searpartsdirect.com website to see all the parts and how they line up in your refrigerator. Generally get a good idea of how everything is set up before attempting to do a repair and be prepared with towels blow dryer screwdrivers. However, sometmes the drain tube is moved and is aiming outside the drip pan. There could be ice built up on the inside back panel. The only way you can find out if there is ice is to remove the back panel of the freezer.

Q:

Paint spray 2536481440E Kenmore Refrigerator

A:

Thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about paint for your Kenmore Refrigerator. I am so sorry to hear that it has a big scratch. I can understand wanting to get that scratch covered up and getting the refrigerator looking like new again. I will be happy to help you with this.

Your question did not indicate the color of your refrigerator. Based on some of the parts listed for it, I am assuming it is bisque. If this is incorrect, please respond to this thread with the correct color. Unfortunately I was not able to locate the bisque color paint in a spray. It is only available in a touch up bottle. I have included the link to order the paint for you.

Bisque Touch Up Paint for Kenmore Refrigerator Model 2536481440E.

While you are working on the refrigerator, I want to remind you it is important to keep the condenser coils on the back of the refrigerator clean. I have included the link for a coil brush also.

I hope this answers your question. If I can be of any further assistance, please respond to this thread. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

Q:

What can cause this refrigerator to beep?

A:

This unit does not appear to have an alarm feature but even if it did, the alarm would quit if the unit is unplugged. The refrigerant can cause a gurgling type noise, when it starts flowing through the system and it's a normal noise. This is a normal noise associated with the type of refrigerant, now being used. With the unit unplugged, however, there should be nothing that can create a beeping noise. Maybe there is something close to this refrigerator, that is making a noise and it seems like the noise is from the refrigerator. If you feel the noise is coming from the refrigerator, I recommend having a technician check it.
