Thank you for your question. The light socket (# 16A in second picture) in this unit is held in place with tabs and it will pop out. First disconnect power to the unit. Now, if the light is not working and the bulb is good, I recommend first checking the light switch (# 14). It's very rare to have a problem with the socket. With the power disconnected, use a small screwdriver and pry the switch out. It can be a little tricky but the switch will pop out. Now connect the black and yellow wires together (see wire diagram) and make sure they do not touch anything. Reconnect the power and if the light works now, the switch # 5309918806 will need to be replaced. I hope this will help you.
