A:

Thank you for choosing Searspartsdirect.com and being a valued member. I can certainly assist you in locating the cubic feet of your refrigerator.

We only have the total cubic feet for the complete unit, which is, 26 cubic feet. You would need to measure the unit in order to get the dimensions of the parts separately.

You can also visit searpartsdirect.com for parts, diagrams, and repair information.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Q:

I have a Kenmore refrigerator with an ice maker that does not make ice cubes. What part do I need, the motor, or a solenoid?

A:

The quickest way test the solenoid is to disconnect the power from the refrigerator and remove the lower panel from the bottom rear of the refrigerator.

Remove the wires from the 2 solenoids on the water valve and swap them. If the solenoid is good when you press the actuator for water on the dispenser, water will run into the icemaker. If it does run water into the icemaker you should replace the icemaker. If it does not run water into the icemaker, replace the water valve.

The cost of the motor is slightly less than the cost of a replacement icemaker.

A:

I have a Kenmore refrigerator, model 25359689992, and the water dispense works but water will not run into the ice cube chamber. I have turned off the freezer part and warmed it up to 60 degrees for about 2 hours and this did not help. Would this have long enough to thaw out the water line to the ice cube chamber? What else should I do?
