I know it can be frustrating when the dispenser doesn't work properly. You have received some good information about a possible stuck switch or board. The 2 most common problems with this dispenser are the board and the ribbon connector being either pinched or punctured. Before replacing the board, check the ribbon that is connected to # 38C in the picture. If the ribbon is ok, the board # 218881801 will probably need to be replaced. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, any additional details will be helpful.

The information you have already received is correct. In addition, when cycling this icemaker, if it does fill with water at the end of the cycle, the icemaker # 5303918277 will probably need to be replaced. First check the temperature in the freezer. Place a thermometer between some packages. If the temperature is below 8 degrees, the icemaker will need to be replaced. The icemaker is available at SearsPartsDirect . If you would like more assistance, additional details will be needed.
