Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when you need an Owner’s Manual for your Refrigerator on hand. I did check to see if we have a PDF Owner’s Manual on our site and I do apologize since this is a 2000 model the Owner’s Manual is not available on line. After 5-10 years manuals that are online become no longer available. I do see here that we do sell the Owner’s Manual on our site. Click here for Owner’s Manual.

Thank you for your question. Have a great day.

Q:

Why won't my icemaker work?

A:

There are 3 very common reasons that can cause this icemaker not to work:

  1. The icemaker itself
  2. The water valve
  3. A diode assembly
A good check to help determine if the icemaker is cycling but not filling or not cycling at all will be to manually try to cycle it. To start this icemaker into a cycle, pull the front cover off and you will see 2 gears, a large and small one. Turn the small gear counterclockwise until the icemaker starts on its own. This is usually no more then a 1/4 turn. If the icemaker doesn't start it will need to be replaced. If it does start, watch it through the complete cycle to see if it fills. If no water fills the icemaker, the diodes and water valve will need to be checked. These can be some difficult checks and will require a technician.
