Thank you for choosing ManageMyLife.com. I understand how important it is to have a manual for your refrigerator. The manual in the link above is correct for this model. We do not have a specific date of manufacturing for this refrigerator as manufacturers normally do not give us that information. I can however, tell you that the documents for this model, such as the manual, was printed in 2006. This should give you an idea of how old your refrigerator is.
If you have further questions please let me know. Thanks for using ManageMyLife.com.

Q:

where can i find do it yourself repair videos

A:

Videos are a good way to help fix minor issues with our appliances. There are lots of videos available, but finding the right one is the challenge. The expert will review to respond, but I did attach the parts diagram to help and a link to dispenser repairs that may help. Both links are below. I hope these help.

I see that Barbara posted a link for a YouTube repair video in the above response. There is a link for a video on replacing the water dispenser actuator on the right side of that page that she provided. That video shows how to access and replace the water dispenser actuator on the type of refrigerator that you have. Be sure that you unplug the refrigerator before accessing internal components. When you remove the drip tray from the dispenser in your particular model, you may not see the 3 screws at the bottom of that dispenser cover as shown in the video. If you do not see those screws at the bottom of the cover then you will need to carefully pry off that cover. Tape the tip of a flat blade screwdriver with masking tape to prevent scratching the freezer door. Pry out on the bottom of the cover while pushing down on the top of that cover. That cover should snap out of the dispenser housing.

Hi,

Thank you for your question. It is concerning when the refrigerator is not functioning correctly. From what is being said the door actuator is not energizing. It is controlled by a micro switch and the switch routes voltage to the door actuator, and the door opens. When voltage is removed the door closes. You have problem with the actuator or the switch. The switch also switches voltage to the auger motor so I would recommend the actuator. Here is the link, Kenmore Refrigerator Model 25357398601 Actuator .

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance please include more details in a reply to this post.
