Question and Answers

Q:

Can you advise whether there is or is not a valve in the freezer door and is there a wire diagram for it?

A:

No there is not a valve in the door. If water is not coming out of the dispenser but it does at the connection under the door, it indicates the line is frozen in the door. This will happen if the freezer gets too cold (below zero) or if there is a void in the door insulation. It's usually caused because the temperature is too cold. All that needs to be done is, allow the line to thaw and raise the temperature slightly. You may need to leave the door open for awhile to let it thaw. Using a hair dryer inside the freezer door will also help but be careful not to get it too hot. The water line is replaceable but the complete dispenser has to be taken apart and it's not necessary for this. The line in the door is fine, it just needs to thaw out. There is no wiring diagram. If you need more assistance, you can resubmit your question with more details.
