Thank you for your question. I'm sorry you are having this problem with the dispenser. Sometimes the ribbon will get pinched or it may get punctured by a solder connection and short the wires. The ribbon may need to be replaced. Unfortunately, there is no breaker or fuse for this. The problem could be with the ribbon, the power board or the control board. Some voltage checks will need to be made. This can be some difficult checks and unless you feel confident that you can safely make these checks, I recommend having a technician check and repair it. I'm attaching some pictures and instructions to check this dispenser. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.

Q:

Why is my refrigerator not cooling?

A:

There should be a total of three motors running, one fan motor inside the freezer compartment, and two motors behind the refrigerator at the bottom. At the bottom rear of the refrigerator there is a condenser fan motor and the big black round dome which is the compressor. If both fans and the compressor is running there could be a sealed system failure. It may have developed a Freon leak or a compressor failure.

There is no fuse. Your refrigerator could have one of several possible failures preventing your refrigerator from cooling. Your refrigerator uses an electronic defrost control board that may have failed and causing your refrigerator to not cool.

This type of failure will require a technician to diagnose and repair your refrigerator.

Thank you for your response. Any idea on what it may cost to repair. It is probably more than ten years. If the repair cost is too high, then it does not make any sense to pay for the repair estimate, let alone pay steep price for repair! Any suggestion

Hello Taher. The normal labor cost of repair for a refrigerator is about $150. If you have to replace the compressor, that part will cost around $250. The total repair could cost over $400 for parts and labor if that compressor is bad. The least expensive repair may cost about $200 (parts and labor).

Q:

My Freezer door keeps coming open when refrigerator door is shut. I replaced the seal and it still stays open.

A:

When the refrigerator door closes too fast, it can cause the freezer door to pop open and if the unit is not leveled properly it may stay partially open. To alleviate this, the refrigerator should have a 1/4 inch tilt to the rear which will allow the doors to shut by themselves. Avoid closing either door too briskly.

To Level the Refrigerator - Adjustable front rollers:

  1. Remove toe grille.
  2. Use flat blade screwdriver, 3/8" wrench or nutdriver to adjust front rollers.
  3. Check both doors to be sure seals touch cabinet on all four sides
