Thanks for the inquiry about your refrigerator, I will be glad to assist you with this question.
Based on your description I would think that the damper/air control is not functioning properly. This could cause the fresh food section to be colder than normal and freeze the water to the door.
If indeed the freezer is not cooling properly, then there could be any one of many causes and some of them could possibly cause the fresh food area to freeze. I recommend calling for service on the unit and have a technician come and diagnose the problem. I will provide a link for service.
If you have the testing equipment (volt ohm meter and safety equipment) and feel confident in testing circuits and components I can send a wiring diagram. Reply with details and I will be happy to respond.

Thanks Ron H.

Thanks - My damper is opening and closing. It appears it will not defrost. Fridge cools fine for 4-5 days, until the coils freeze up, then no airflow will allow the cool to move to fridge. If I open the door, then cool air will flow through damper. I really think they may have sent me the wrong control board. There is a thermostat wire or something coming out of the freezer side that does not connect to anything on the new control board or wiring harness. That confuses me.

Thank you for your question. I'm sorry you are having this problem. The control you received does show to be the correct part number. There have been some adjustments for some of these controls. It's usually best to replace the complete control assembly # 5303918283. I'm attaching the wiring diagram and schematic for this refrigerator. To be able to assist you further, I will need more information. If you can send a picture of the board you received and the directions that were included, it would be very helpful. There is also an updated wiring harness for these boards # 241527001. It may be different then the one that was included with the board. I hope this will help you. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

It appears they sent me the wiring harness #241537801. Wondering if the 2 wiring harnesses are different. Does the #241527001 have a place to connect the wire coming out of the freezer?

Without actually seeing both harnesses, I will not be able to determine what the difference is. There have been issues when replacing individual parts in this type of control assembly and getting them to work properly. It has been much better replacing the complete control assembly # 5303918283 for this reason. Normally a technician will be required to replace this control assembly. If you can send a picture of the board and the instructions you received, it would be very helpful.

I added an image below in order to see the parts breakdown of the bucket and to see the parts involved in dispensing cubes. The ice bucket has a "gate" key#13 that must open in order to dispense cubes. The gate is opened by an "electric solenoid" key#45 when cubed ice is selected. When crush is selected the gate remains in the normally closed position. Select crushed ice and when you push the cradle in you should not hear the solenoid energize and then select cube and then press the cradle and you should hear the solenoid energize to open the gate. You should hear a difference. If you hear the solenoid energizing then the failure could be a broken actuator (key#45c) or jammed gate. Remove the ice bucket and see if you can pivot the control rod (key#46) and while pivoting the control rod the gate should also open and spring closed. It the gate will open and close while manually pivoting the control rod then the failure is likely the solenoid, actuator or switch. Note: the freezer light switch must be energized to operate the solenoid while the door is open.
