Thank you for your question. I know it can be disappointing when the dispenser stops working. If you hear a buzzing sound behind the cabinet when the lever is pressed, it indicates the water valve is being energized. Usually in this case, the valve # 241734302 will need to be replaced. However, I would first recommend checking the reservoir behind the crispers, to make sure it's not frozen. If it is frozen, you can use a hair dryer to clear it. Just be careful not to get it too hot. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.

Your refrigerator not cooling properly can be frustrating I will assist with this issue and together we should be able to find the exact cause.
Based on you description of the freezer section only cooling partly I suspect a defrost problem. The freezer section must self-defrost several times a day or a buildup of frost will block the air movement. No air will get to fresh food side and very little air will circulate in freezer section. >br. Open the freezer door and look at very back of freezer wall (lower section) if you see a lot of frost on the back then we have a defrost problem. This could mean a bad defrost control. Defrost heater or bi-metal. These components do require special tools and testing equipment to properly diagnose. If you see the frost build up a temporary fix would be manually defrosting the unit by unloading, unplugging with door open overnight. This will melt the frost (be prepared to deal with defrost water) After manually defrosting the refrigerator will operates normally for about five to seven days depending on use and humidity. This simple test will determine if a defrost problem is the cause so you can call for a service technician to come find exact component failure. There could be a chance that a door was left ajar at some time which will cause this frost build up and all components are actually okay. I hope this helps and if you need additional help please reply with more details.

Thanks Ron H.

Q:

Why is it only the bottom portion of my refrigerator gets somewhat cold?

A:

Also, it is both the freezer and fridge that only the bottom gets a little cold.

Janeth, Is this a frost free frig? Is there ice buil up in the freezer. Can you hear the fan speeding up and slowying down? If ice is buidling up in freezer it may be the heating element that defrost your freezer and frig. I know this sounds weired but ice will be building up in freezer walls and air cannot circulate properly and the frig will not keep temp or the freezer.

Hi,

Thank you for your question. It is concerning when your appliance is not functioning correctly.

Ralph has a point, If you hear the fan in the back running open the refrigerator door and feel up at the top left-hand side by the vent, Do you feel air coming into the refrigerator? If you feel air entering the refrigerator section, is the vent on the bottom the refrigerator, behind the crispers ice free? If the vent is ice free close the refrigerator door and open the freezer door, press in on the door switch and listen for the fan behind the panel, is the fan running? If the fan is running, I will recommend you have a sealed system technician check the charge of the sealed system.

Sears Home Services .

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance please include more details in a reply to this entry below.
