Q:

Clean tube drain 25351694100

A:

Thank you for choosing sears I would be happy to help you with your refrigerator. Upon researching model 25351694100; the drain tube is located under the refrigerator in the back above the drain pan.  You can remove the bottom vegetable drawers for better access from the inside of the refrigerator. NOTE: always unplug refrigerator before working on it.

I trust that this information will help you, thank you have a great day.

That helped. I see the drain tube entering from under the light socket. It appears to have been crushed during installation at the factory. Next question: How do i remove the light socket--from inside the cabinet or from the back? Also, do i have to remove the back to access the upstream end of the tube?

Q:

Refrigerator glitches - what to try replacing? 25351694100

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help with your refrigerator. Upon researching model25351694100; the air damper could be malfunctioning. The damper lets air from freezer go into the fridge. If it is open all the way then the fridge will pull most of the cold air from the freezer. The ice will not be able to freeze being that al the cold air is going to the fridge side. I linked a diagram below. The damper is number 115. The damper control is number 21. Being that the water filter is in the fridge and only occurring when it starts freezing it would be best to take care of freezing issue first.

Thank you for choosing Sears. Have a great day.

Q:

PLEASE!! I need help confirming CORRECT part # and CORRECT rewiring of damper control.. 25351694100

A:

Thank you for being a Sears’ valued member and for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about your Kenmore refrigerator model 25351694100. I am so sorry the refrigerator section is freezing up and that you are also having an issue with the water filter. I will be happy to help you with this.

Freezing in the refrigerator section can be caused by several different conditions. Please check the following:

1.        Make sure the temperature controls are set at the mid-point settings. Freezer should be set for 1-3 degrees, refrigerator should be 35-38 degrees.

2.        Air leaks into either the freezer or the refrigerator cabinet from a poor door seal.

3.        Poor or no defrost cycle.

4.        There could also be a leak in the sealed system, this would need to be tested and repaired by a technician.

Since the refrigerator section is freezing food and you have an issue with the water filter, it sounds like the air damper assembly or cold control may be faulty. There is a combined kit that will address this issue. You question did not included the part number you received. Without that information I cannot verify if you have the right part for this repair. However, since the part you received did not include the installation instructions, I suspect you may only have a part and not the repair kit. I have located the replacement damper and control assembly for your refrigerator. It has been substituted by the manufacturer so the part number you should have is 5304482075. This control box assembly will have the installation instructions with it. I have included the link below for you to view the part.
