Q:

how to clean the filter 25350650000 Kenmore Dehumidifier

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

What's odd is that I don't see a filter listed in the parts list for the dehumidifier, however, the filter is either up front or on the rear.

Generally speaking if the filter is located up front and behind the front panel it generally will slide down out a channel with ease.

Some models locate the filter on the rear of the unit and to remove it, you first pull out the filter by pressing the filter hooks. Then release the 2 tabs at the bottom side of the filter and remove it.

Cleaning the air filter:

  1. Remove the water bucket from the cabinet.
  2. Pull out the air filter.
  3. Wash the filter in warm mild detergent.
  4. Rinse and dry filter before reinstalling.

Q:

Dehumidified Overflowing

A:

Thanks for contacting ManageMyLife.com. I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with your bucket overflowing on the dehumidifier. We are here to help. Base on the symptom, I suspect one of the follow parts is causing the problem, bucket not installed properly, stuck float or bad water shut off switch. I recommend checking for a stuck float and make sure the bucket is installed properly. This is shown on page 6 of the owners manual. Also, raise the float and see if the dehumidifier turns off. If the dehumidifier does not turn off, the automatic turn off switch is bad. The part number for the bucket automatic turn off switch is 5308016437. I hope this helps.

To order dehumidifier parts, please visit SearsPartsDirect.com with the model number.
