Thank you for your question. I'm sorry you are having this problem with the fridge. If its not cooling at all, it first needs to be determined if the compressor is running. If the compressor is running, the problem will probably be in the seal system or with the compressor. It could be a low charge, a restriction or the compressor may not be pumping properly. These are checks a technician will be required to make.

If the compressor is not running, it could be a problem with the starting device, the compressor itself or if the condenser motor is not running. If the motor is not running and the compressor is very hot, the motor will need to be replaced. If the motor is running but not the compressor, sometimes it can be difficult to determine if the problem is with the starting device or the compressor. If the starting device is burnt or if it rattles when shaken, it will indicate the starting device has failed. A technician will have a kit and meter, he can attach to the compressor that will determine if the compressor or starting device has failed. Without this kit and meter, a chance can be taken to replace the starting device # 216954208 and capacitor # 218909911. If the compressor still wont run or if it runs but then quits again, it will need to be replaced. Im listing a site you can access, to have a tech come out. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services . If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.

I have the same model and same problems.. we have a lot of power surges and outages... I started with the defost relay, not it.. went to start relay and its ok (most will smell if bad), on to the thermostat and waiting on parts... the defrost sensor ok... we live way out in the country and cant get any service help... its good I have worked on them before... always change the start relay and the capacitor together... I have a parts inventory that would make sears proud...
