Thank you for your question. The information you have received is correct. Power outages can damage these boards. If it's still cooling ok, the board may only need to be reset. To reset the board, disconnect the power for 30 seconds and then reconnect it. If the code still appears and if the freezer motor is running, the board # 241511111 will probably need to be replaced. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.

The parts image for that dispenser is shown in the image below. Unplug the refrigerator and remove the drip tray (Key 23) from the dispenser. You will probably not see the 3 screws (Key 82) at the bottom of that outer cover (Key 4). If you do see those screws then you can remove them and pull off the outer cover. If you don't see those screws then you will need to pry off that outer cover. Cover the tip of a flat-tip screwdriver with masking tape so that you won't scratch the freezer door. Pry out on the bottom of that outer cover until it snaps out of the door. You may need to push down on the top of the dispenser while prying the bottom edge out. You may need to disconnect some wires to completely remove that cover. Make a note of wiring connections as you go along so that the wires can be reconnected properly (take a digital picture of wiring connections if necessary). After you remove that cover, you should be able to remove the dispenser control module (Key 8). You should find 2 screws (Key 17) that secure it in the housing. Once you remove that component, you should be able to remove clips (Key 87) that hold that dispenser lever in place.

Replace the lever and reassemble the dispenser.

I hope that this information helps. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.

If you get to a point where you need to have a service technician replace that part, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .
