The E/F error code is indicating a problem with the evaporator fan motor inside the freezer. It could be caused by a failed fan motor, control board or a loose wiring connection between the two components. The control board monitors the evaporator fan motor operation and speed. If the control board does not receive information from the fan motor or receives incorrect information because the fan motor has stalled out or is not running correctly "E/F" will display.  Since your control board is new, then it is most likely a failure in the fan motor. However, I would suggest that you double check the connections to the control board first for anything that is not connected properly.  The connection for the fan will have the Brown/white, Red/white, Yellow/white, and Dark Blue/white wires.  I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

You could have a control board that is locked up. Unplug the refrigerator for 5 minutes. Plug it back in and see if it cools properly. Resetting that control board may fix your problem in some situations.

Check to see if that compressor (and the condenser fan beside it) is running. If the compressor and the condenser fan are both running but you are getting no cooling in the freezer, then you have a sealed system failure that will need to be repaired by a service technician. That type of repair will require the recovery and recharge of the refrigerant (Freon). Here is a link for the Sears Service website: Sears Home Services .

If the condenser fan is running but the compressor is not running then you could have a problem with the compressor or you could have a bad start relay on that compressor. If the condenser fan is running, this indicates that the compressor is likely getting run voltage from the control board. Replacing the start relay on the compressor may fix your problem in that situation.

If the compressor and the condenser fan both are not running then you could have a bad control board or a wiring failure in that circuit.

If the compressor is running and there is a frost pattern on the evaporator but the evaporator fan is not running, then you may have a problem with the evaporator fan motor or the control board.

These initial tips may help you determine the cause of that cooling failure in your freezer. If you need more help, reply with additional details regarding this problem.
