Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when you are having trouble with the refrigerator.

I looked at your model 253.44393407.  Need to ask when is the last time you changed your water filter.   That is what the red light is for.   If you haven't changed that is awhile, that can cause trouble with the ice maker.  Is the ice maker not getting water?   Is the ice maker motor running?

I have included a link to our PartsDirect page where you can purchase the part you need to complete your repair. Just click the blue link below to be taken to the page.

I'm not talking about the red light on the front. I have changed my filter many times. I'm talking about the red blinking light on the master control of the freezer inside. There is no sound so I don't think motor is running and I don't think it's getting water. How can I purchase a part when I don't know what part to replace

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

Thanks Don and sorry that I was looking at the wrong blinking red light.

1.  Press the "Xtra Ice" touch pad for three to five seconds on the freezer's front panel to increase the production of ice if you are planning on having a party or filling up a cooler. A green light then appears above the touch pad. Press the "Xtra Ice" button again for three to five seconds to turn this feature off.
2.  Press the "Cube" touch pad to get cubed ice. A green light will appear above "Cube." Press your cup flat against the distributing panel to dispense ice.

3. Press the "Crush" touch pad to get crushed ice. A green light will appear above "Crush." Press your cup flat against the distributing panel to dispense ice.

4.  Press the "Lock" touch pad for three to five seconds to lock the ice dispenser to prevent it from being used. A red light will appear above "Lock." Press the "Lock" touch pad for three to five seconds to unlock the ice dispenser. The red light disappears.
If you have further questions please let me know.
